According to our experience, it not only suppresses weeds but even improves the quality of the soil! Besides, it looks cool.
There are not so many weeds any more and I must use about one third less water.
My experience is positive but to keep weeds away you must lay the recommended thickness of mulch.
We were recommended the fine pine bark mulch against weeds – and it works! We replenish the mulch layer every year, in February, and we have had no problems since we started using it.
This mulch meets our expectations!
